Two Opportunity Program graduates, 50 years apart

Barbara Lucas-Roberts '73 was in the first cohort of Opportunity Program students to graduate from Skidmore, 和 Issy Mejia '23 was in the 50th. Five decades separate them, but their experiences connect them in powerful ways. 

Scope magazine: Forging Skidmore's second century

The new issue of Scope magazine, dedicated to Skidmore College’s Centennial, will be distributed to employees in early June. Dining Services

弹出式烧烤: Beginning this week, Dining Services will offer a pop-up grill from 11:30 a.m. 到1p.m. Monday through Friday on Case Walkway. The grill menu features hotdogs, burgers (both beef 和 plant-based), 和 grilled chicken s和wiches. A combo meal includes your choice of a grill item, two sides, 和 a beverage.

 

Summer hours of The Spa, Burgess, The Atrium, 和 Murray-Aikins Dining Hall are available on the Dining Services website.

Summer Bulletin publication schedule 

在8月. 23, the Bulletin will be published 两周一次的 和 distributed to faculty 和 staff only. It will also be posted online. Submissions to the Faculty-Staff Achievements section will not be accepted over the summer 和 will be accepted again in the fall. Biweekly issues of the Bulletin will be published June 14 和 28; July 12 和 26; 和 Aug. 9和23. SWB will resume weekly publication on Aug. 30. 提交 公告 by completing the online form. Stewart’s Signature Series  

今年夏天的 Stewart’s Signature Series returns to all in-person programming 和 includes Skidmore Jazz Institute concerts 和 New York State Summer Writers Institute readings. The campus lineup includes the John 和 Gerald Clayton Quartet, Miguel Zenon Quartet, 和 readings by Joyce Carol Oates, 4月伯纳德, Danzy塞纳, Francine Prose, John McWhorter, 和 Thomas Chatterton Williams. 额外的 performances will take place at SPAC 和 Caffe Lena. The series is made possible by a generous grant from Stewart’s Shops 和 the Dake Family.

 

Update on recent burglaries

An investigation by Campus Safety 和 the Saratoga Springs Police Department has determined an incident reported on May 26 was the result of a miscommunication rather than burglary. Meanwhile, an investigation into April 22 burglaries 和 v和alism continues. Two suspects not affiliated with Skidmore have been identified, 和 arrest warrants have been issued. For more information, please refer to an email from Campus Safety 在Tuesday, May 30.

 

Campus credit union summer hours 

Effective May 22, the branch hours for the campus branch of Broadview FCU (formerly SEFCU) are 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. Normal hours will resume in August.
